Casting Seminar: "Foot in the Door - On Stage at Cirque du Soleil as a Dancer" - The process of getting into Cirque du Soleil as an artist on stage remains for many a great mystery. This talk attempts to demystify the process and requirements, and will show that the difficulty level of the process is in fact low - but the technical and artistic requirements high.

Dance Workshop: "Improvisation and Vocabulary Development" - Contrary to popular belief, improvisation is not spur of the moment guessing. In this workshop we will work on improvisational structure and how to use it to our advantage.

When: July 15, 2012

Session 1: 10:00am-1:00pm

Session 2: 4:00pm-7:00pm

NOTE: Both these events are FREE to all participants attending any WDM session from July 8-29, 2012.

Please sign up on your registration form for the seminar and one of the 2 casting workshops, either the morning or the afternoon session. The classes will be limited, so be sure to sign up when you register. It is first come first serve. If your preferred session is full, you will automatically be placed in the other session.

For anyone interested in attending the Cirque du Soleil Casting Seminar or Dance Workshop that is not attending the WDM Italy 2012 event, you can register online as well. You must complete the full application form and choose only the WDM Cirque du Soleil events when prompted.

There will be a fee of:
20 euro / $25: Casting Seminar 
60 euro / $80: Dance Workshop

The Cirque du Soleil Senior Talent Scout will be observing WDM 2012 Italy classes on July 16th and 17th.
