Sitges (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsidʒəs] ) is a town about 35 kilometres southwest of Barcelona, renowned worldwide for its Film Festivaland Carnival. Located between the Garraf Massif and the sea, it is known for its beaches, nightspots, and historical sites.



  •       Beaches : The beaches offer a wide range of activities such as Pedalos and kayaks. The magnificent beaches come in all shapes and sizes for all tastes.
  •       The Font Major Cave: The entrance to the cave is situated 50m from the birth of the Francolí River. Enter and discover the underground river.
  •       The Salnitre Caves: Take a guided visit through the caves situated at the base of the Montserrat Mountains.
  •       Sitges Town Hall: The building itself dates from 1887-1889 and is built on the site of the medieval castle of Sitges. It is considered an example of Catalan civil gothic-style architecture.
  •       The Santiago Rusiñol Library: This includes a bibliographical and historical collection specialised in the artistic and literary movements of the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
  •       El Palau del Rei Moro: This is a sumptuous medieval house, currently home to the Sitges Group of Folkloric Dances.
  •       The parish church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla: This baroque temple has three naves with a dome in the center point reinforced with ribs.
  •       The Station Building: This neoclassical building was constructed in 1881, and is situated in the Plaça Eduard Maristany.
  •       The House of Josep Mirabent Gatell: This is a three-story house build by the architect, Jaume Suñe Juncosa. The neoclassical feel is still present although it also has some arab inspired features.
  •       The Garraf Natural Park: This natural land has been eroded into caves, potholes, sinkholes and limestone pavements. It holds a fantastic unique landscape.
