Medhi Walerski \u00e8 stato nominato direttore artistico del Ballet BC nel luglio 2020. Cresciuto in Francia, si \u00e8 inizialmente formato in Normandia con Laurie Bokobza e Christine Caroly prima di entrare al Conservatoire Superieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. Walerski ha danzato al Paris Opera Ballet e al Ballet du Rhin prima di entrare al Nederlands Dans Theater nel 2001. Per pi\u00f9 di un decennio \u00e8 stato parte integrante della compagnia, contribuendo allo stile creativo e innovativo per cui l'NDT \u00e8 famoso. Ha ricevuto il premio di danza olandese VSCD\u00a0Zwaan\u00a0<\/em>nel 2013.<\/p>

Walerski ha lavorato a stretto contatto con molti coreografi rinomati, creando e interpretando lavori di Ji\u0159\u00ed Kyli\u00e1n, William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, George Balanchine, Rudolf Nureyev, Paul Lightfoot e Sol Leon, Crystal Pite, Johan Inger e Wayne McGregor, tra gli altri. Il debutto coreografico di Walerski \u00e8 avvenuto nel 2008 per NDT 2. Da allora, ha creato numerosi lavori acclamati per NDT e Ballet BC, tra cui\u00a0Piccola cerimonia (<\/em>2011),\u00a0Camera\u00a0<\/em>(2012),\u00a0GIARDINO<\/em>\u00a0(2016) e\u00a0Maree silenziose\u00a0<\/em>(2021), cos\u00ec come opere per il Bern Ballet, il Goteborg Ballet, il Ballet State of Georgia, lo StaatBallet Hannover, lo Staattheater Wiesbaden e lo Charlotte Ballet. La sua ultima creazione,\u00a0appena PRIMA subito DOPO<\/em>, presentato in anteprima a febbraio 2022.<\/p>

In qualit\u00e0 di insegnante, viene regolarmente invitato a tenere lezioni e workshop presso conservatori di danza e festival in tutto il mondo.<\/p>
