Chloé Albaret was born in France. She started dancing at age 14 with contemporary & ballet and very quickly, developed a deep passion for this art form. She then decided that she wanted to train full time and make a career in dance.  

She did her study at the Ballet Junior de Genève in Switzerland.

In 2010 she joined Nederlands Dans Theater 2 under the direction of Gerald Tibbs and moved to the main company Nederlands Dans Theater 1 in 2013 under the direction of Paul Lightfoot.

Throughout her career in NDT she worked with numerous choreographers and makers such as Jirí Kylián, Sol León & Paul Lightfoot, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Marco Goecke, Crystal Pite, Hofesh Shechter, Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Peeping Tom to name a few.

In 2019 Chloé was nominated for the prestigious Dutch dance award “Zwaan” in the category “most impressive dance performance” and has won the prize for the same category in 2020.

After leaving NDT in 2022, Chloé continued her dance career as a freelancer. She also works with dance companies as a guest rehearsal director/Stager, and teaches dance throughout Europe.
