EMMY Award winning, TONY nominated choreographer, AC Ciulla has enjoyed an eclectic career spanning a wide range of work in different creative arenas.

AC was nominated for the TONY Award for Best Choreography for Broadway’s hit musical Footloose, and has choreographed/directed numerous productions both nationally and abroad. Off-Broadway, AC choreographed Lucky Guy (Callaway Award nomination), The Bubbly Black Girl…(Lucille Lortel nomination), Ghetto Superstar starring TONY winner Billy Porter, and Last Smoker In America.

Regionally, AC choreographed Chess at the Ford Amphitheater starring Matthew Morrison (of Fox’s hit show Glee), Stephen Sondheim’s Being Alive, The Plexiglass Slipper, The Yiddish Coming, Barrio Babies and The Little Mermaid. Vices: A Love Story, a sophisticated exploration of relationships told through music and dance, garnered AC the 2010 Carbonell Award for ‘Best Choreography’.

AC co-created/choreographed the smash hit Toni Braxton ‘Revealed’ (Flamingo, Las Vegas) as well as the Grammy Award winning recording artist’s Libra Tour, and live NBA All-Star performance. Other recording artists include live shows for Eden’s Crush featuring Nicole Scherzinger, the vocal band Duwende, and videos for Freedom Williams (C&C Music Factory), and R&B vocalist Billy Porter.

Ciulla staged Signed, Sealed, Delivered- A Musical Celebration of Stevie Wonder starring Chaka Khan (Venetian, Las Vegas), and directed/choreographed Nights on Broadway II & III (Caesars, Atlantic City) featuring many of Broadway’s newest stars. Multiple film, television, and commercial credits include winning the 2003 Emmy Award for ‘Outstanding Choreography of a Television Special’ for Stars on Ice. AC has appeared as a guest choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance (UA) for the past three seasons, and made a special appearance on Lifetime’s Dance Moms.

As a performer, AC made his Broadway debut in Starlight Express at age 19, was an eight time winner and semi-finalist on Star Search, and toured as a featured soloist with the world renowned Jazz Dance Company Waves. He toured the US with the dance sensation C&C Music Factory, danced on the MTV Video Music Awards and had the honor of dancing along side Michael Jackson.
