Kirsty Ross was born in Canberra, Australia where she started her dance career.

After her studies at the “Academie de Danse classique” in Monte Carlo she had her first professional experience at the theatre in Würzburg. Later she was engaged with the company in Bern under the direction of Martin Schläpfer. She followed him to the theatre in Mainz and worked with him for over 12 years. During this time, Kirsty Ross danced most of the solo parts of his ballets and repertoire pieces.

She danced the choreography of Hans von Manen, Nils Cristie, George Balanchine, Kurt Joos, Christopher Bruce, Nick Hobbs, Anthony Tudor and Paul Lightfoot/Sol Leon. She was the ballet mistress of the Ballet Company Mainz and was the assistant of Nick Hobbs.

She also works as guest teacher and assistant at the Theatre St. Gallen and since 2011 as the Ballet mistress at the Luzerner Theater.
