She studied at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome, Italy with Ballet Master, Teacher Zarko Prebil and under the direction of Modern Dance Master Teachers, Jean Cebron and Irina Harris. She kept studying with world-renowned teachers such as: Merle Park, director of the London Royal Ballet, Irina Trohmova, Nina Kurgakina, assistent choreographer and producer of the Marinsky Theatre of St. Petersburg, Elisabetta Terabust, director of the Scuola del Teatro dell’Opera in Rome.
She was a soloist for the Accademia Nazionale di Danza and danced in “Le Sifilidi”, “Paquita”, “Giselle”, “Swans’ Lake”, “Don Chisciotte”, “the Nutcracker”. She has been teaching academic technique at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza since 1981. From 1988 to 1991 she was the repertoire’s teacher and choreography assistant. In 1991 she was invited to the Teatro San Carlo in Naples as Maitre du Ballet.
Clarissa’s students have participated in the most prestigious national and international competitions, achieving high success and top prizes. The majority of them dance for famous national and international dance companies. In 2001 Clarissa joined the Ballet du Capitole in Toulouse (France) directed by Nanette Glushak as a guest teacher.
From 2000 to 2006 she worked as Maître de ballet at Teatro San Carlo in Naples, directed by Luciano Cannito first, following by the direction of Elisabetta Terabust. She also worked at Teatro dell’ Opera in Rome, working side by side with Carla Fracci. From 2007 to 2008 she was a guest at Teatro alla Scala directed by Elisabetta Terabust. Clarissa Mucci is also a guest teacher for one of the most popular international competition in Italy “Città di Spoleto”organized by Alberto Testa.
Clarissa is a judge for Concorso di Caltanisetta, Roma for Dancing and Dance Out in Italy. She is an Erasmus Teacher for Staatsopera in Berlin, Germany and Guest Master Teacher at Baltic Ballet Competition in Riga, Letvia.
