Teddy Forance grew up at his families dance studio, the “Hackworth School of Performing Arts” in Easthampton, Massachusetts, carrying on the legacy of his Great Grandfather who opened the studio in 1934. His professional career started at the age of 17 dancing for pop star Anna Vissi in Greece. The ensuing years have brought him opportunities to work with many esteemed choreographers including Mia Michaels where he assisted the Celine Dion “Taking Chances” tour, Cirque du Soleil’s “Delerium” tour as well as seasons 2 & 3 of “So You Think You Can Dance” where he received an honorary Emmy.

In 2007 he performed with Janet Jackson on her “Rock wit U” tour and was featured in both her “Feedback” and “Rock wit U” videos. He has appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show, Good Morning America, TRL, Tyra Banks, and 5 appearances on “Dancing with the Stars” also a guest artist at the two famous London theaters “Royal Albert Hall” and “Sadler Wells”. Teddy performed with Kylie Minogue on America’s Got talent, Lady Gaga on American Idol, Usher at the AMA’s, Florence & the Machine at The VMA’s, as well as with LXD at the 82nd annual Oscars! He has choreographed a Dancing With the Stars piece for the two leads of “Footloose”, Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald, as well as Kelly Clarkson’s AMA performance.

He made appearances in the movies Step Up 4, Shrek, & most recently was seen in the docu-series “All The Right Moves” starring Travis wall, Nick Lazzarini, & Kyle Robinson on Oxygen. The show follows their careers documenting the process of starting their own dance company SHAPING SOUND! Teddy along with Travis, & Nick were nominated for an Emmy this year for their piece on “Dancing With The Stars”!!! You can catch Teddy who is traveling with the Jump dance convention to 30 cities this season! He is also the proud Artistic Director of “The Collective” & “Generation IV” intensive workshops.
