This unique style is brought direct to you from Luis’s native home, Puerto Rico.

This class includes isolations, coordination, cardio, strength, and some flexibility exercises. In a very optimistic but challenging way, Luis pushes his students to bring out the best in themselves. Filmed in a classroom format, learning from Luis is made easy as he teaches at a beginner level enabling any dancer to develop an understanding of this style and musicality. About Luis

Luis Salgado play’s “Jose” and is the Latin Assistant Choreographer of the new hit Broadway Musical “In The Heights – BEST MUSICAL 2008 at the Tony Awards. Moved to NY in 2002 dreaming of achieving his passion of performing on a Broadway stage. As of today, Luis has performed in shows like The Mambo Kings (Frankie Suarez), Fame on 42nd Street (Joe Vegas u/s), and Aida among others. Film Credits includes: Step Up 2 The Streets (Alejandro). Dirty Dancing 2 (Diego Luna’s Dance Double), Enchanted, Across the Universe, American Gangster and The Great Observer. Luis choreographed the musicals Serenade and The Drop Outs in NYC and co-directed/choreographed the original show Mezcla in Peru. Luis has been able to assist choreographers like Maria Torres in the film Enchanted; Jamal Sims in the film Step Up 2 the Streets and is thrilled to be representing his culture as Latin assistant choreographer at In The Heights. BroadwayWorld.com Gypsy of the Month and a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Ensemble for In the Heights. Luis co-produced his own DVD “Latin Fusion with Luis Salgado” and is the director of R.Evolucion Latina – DARE TO GO BEYOND!, an artistic movement that celebrates the lives, careers, triumphs and existence of all Latino artists in and out of the New York Performing Art Community.
